There is something really special about drawing in a pixel art style

It is, in a very literal way, the same exact process that allows us to create “photorealistic” images, simply with a lower resolution. The result is something implicative, rather than explicit; when you have only so many pixels in your budget, you can’t show everything literally in an image but have to make decisions about how to give the impression of it.

Protest art can be as exhausting as it is cathartic— but many times it feels more honest and vital than any words I can offer. I’m grateful for the chance to channel my feelings into work that felt important to share.
